The Greens have supported the European Union’s actions in environmental policy, global peacekeeping as well as the expansion of the Union. In the future, the EU must be given more power to address the challenge of globalization. While a stronger Union is necessary in order to defend the citizens’ well-being and the environment, it should not interfere in issues which belong to the national or local level.
