Mankind has started an unprecedented experiment on Planet Earth. The risk of dramatic disruptions due to climate change grows with every ton of emissions released into the atmosphere. The Greens demand that global warming must be limited to two degrees (C) compared with the pre-industrial era.

The worst scenarios can be pre-empted by means of prompt climate policy. Global emissions must be halved by 2050. This goal requires decisions which we can proudly present to our grandchildren.
